1K a year Eagle Flexible Packaging is seeking full-time Production Scheduler to manage the strategic and tactical development and execution of the production plan for all Eagle manufacturing to ensure customer needs regarding quality and delivery timing are met or exceeded.
Responsible for improving performance and identifying gaps in productivity levels between stakeholders.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Create the daily production schedule to meet demand, maximize throughput, and maintain efficiency and optimization within each department while focusing on maintaining the highest quality products.
Update and change production schedules based upon changes in material availability and customer priorities.
Changes should support sales, inventory management, and production utilization strategies.
Enhance capabilities of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system EFI Radius by developing reports and building logic into the system to improve abilities related to but not limited to production scheduling, demand planning, material allocation, and production floor data collection.
Maintain the master production schedule in MS Excel and use this tool as the basis for building event production logic into EFI Radius.
Develop production scheduling metrics both inclusive and exclusive of EFI Radius, including but not limited to daily actual versus planned performance reporting.
Research failures to execute production plan and work with other members of the production leadership determine any process updates needed to mitigate future production issues.
Communicate schedule changes, special production runs, and maintenance requirements, etc.
that affect future production plans to internal stakeholders, including Operations and Project Management.
Regularly effectively interact with production operators and leadership to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or additional information as requested from Operations and Project Management.
Read and understand the job work orders for instructions and specifications specific to the manufacturing of a job and ensure that all jobs are planned to account for the noted specifications and instructions.
Research job estimates to ensure accuracy of job work orders for clarification or as otherwise needed.
Demonstrated a deep understanding of internal processes and procedures and leverage diplomatic skills to effectively to determine and negotiate delivery requirements and capabilities.
Analize and recommend enhancements to existing resources and processes to increase throughput.
Manage the evaluation and completion of outsourced production, including but not limited to reviewing project feasibility coordinating with internal stakeholders, reviewing margin analysis with Estimating, confirming vendor and material availability, obtaining and reviewing vendor estimates, coordinating raw materials to vendor, submitting POs to vendor, monitoring and communicating product status in a timely manner, and coordinating shipping to and from vendor site with support from the Logistics team.
Ensure that all company food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed at all times.
Escalate any issues/concerns to management.
Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school degree or equivalent (GED).
Minimum 5 years relevant prior experience in manufacturing, including production scheduling experience.
Proven proficiency in manufacturing production scheduling processes and best practices, including the ability to create and maintain gantt charts.
Strong organizational skills with ability prioritize, troubleshoot, and make informed and quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Sense of urgency to complete responsibilities with thoroughness, responsiveness, professionalism, and whenever possible, proactively.
Intermediate PC skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and email software with proven ability to learn complex new software programs.

Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing operations or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience in the flexible packaging industry strongly preferred.
ERP system experience strongly preferred, ideally experience with EFI Radius.
Manufacturing production scheduling software experience strongly preferred, ideally experience with EFI Radius PrintFlow.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Additional Information:
Travel up to 10% may be required, primarily between Eagle's Wisconsin and Illinois facilities.
The standard work schedule for this position is daytime hours Monday-Friday.
There may be needs to work hours outside of the standard schedule, including occasional weekends, and workweeks may exceed 40 hours.
